The Time Capsule Board Game Café & Bar opened in 2015, as a joint effort of two friends that were passionate about games and having good times. The café/bar is decorated in a modern, artsy style. There are large murals on some of the walls, some exposed brick walls, and a few accent walls. There are very modern light fixtures that cast interesting light/shadow effects.

The bar is large and made of wood, with some bar seating. There are wooden and granite tables, as well as chairs and couches. The ping pong table and vintage arcade games welcome you. Next you see the bar and the foosball table, and the far corner hosts the gaming capsules. The wall above the bar has a blackboard that lists daily and weekly food and drink offers.

The menu is simple: party snack tray, house nachos, burger & fries, chicken wings, fries, hot dog, mozzarella sticks, spring rolls, chicken nuggets, onion rings, calamari, edamame, popcorn, Caesar salad, veggies with dip, samosas, and poutine. The dessert section has items like strawberry cheesecake, ice cream, gummies, and milkshakes.

The drinks menu has bottled and draft beers and cider, shots, and mixes, fish bowls, wine, and a selection of cocktails. There are daily specials: Tuesday is 50% off wings and $5 pint, Wednesday is free gaming all day, Thursday is burger night, and Friday is Fish Bowl night.
