About Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill:
The Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill is a franchise with eleven locations across Canada and the US and two in the UK. Their Toronto location is on 10 Dundas Street East, in Toronto, accross from Yonge Dundas square. This is an everyday sports bar with a modern interior, high-quality HD screens, and great pub fare.
There is a garage parking nearby, and this bar is wheelchair accessible. It takes reservations and has free Wi-Fi. There are 57 TV screens dispersed all around the bar so every patron can see the game, and there is a 15-foot screen behind the bar where one can really watch the game.
The menu is the classic pub fare, with several twists. It serves lunch, dinner and after-hours drinks and food. On Sunday and Monday, the Shark Sports Club works from 11 AM to 1 AM. On Tuesday to Saturday, the working hours are from 11 AM to 2 AM.
From the online reviews I found on Google Reviews, Trip Advisor and Facebook, I was able to create the following list of pros and cons.
- Excellent interior
- A lot of HD screens
- Daily specials
- Happy hour
- Great food and drinks menus
- Notes on poor customer service
- Notes on high prices
The Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill in Toronto was opened in 2013. This is a very nicely decorated establishment, with plenty exposed brick walls, raw concrete pillars and walls, and hardwood floors. The ceiling has exposed ductwork and interesting light fixtures hang from it. The high tables are wooden as are the chairs. There are semi-circular leather seating booths on one side and a section with metal chairs and low tables. There are 57 LED TVs all around as a large 15-foot screen above the bar, all of which constantly display sporting events.
The menu is as expected, excellently prepared pub food. Appetizers like shishito pepper, poutine, fried pickles, tater tots, chicken quesadilla, mini Mac sliders, nachos, lettuce wraps, shark bites, calamari, chicken wings, and more are on the menu. There are salads like Caesar, Tex-Mex, steak salad, and tuna BLT. Handhelds i.e. burgers and sandwiches come in an excellent offer, plus these get served on beautiful wooden serving boards.
The main dishes include steak frites, ginger beef rice bowl, jambalaya, cod &chips, butter chicken and spaghetti & meatballs. There are pizzas on the menu, as well as a selection of desserts. There is a great drinks menu with a lot of beers on tap, bottled and canned beers from local breweries and imported brands. For the non-beer drinkers, the Shark Club Sports Bar prepares a large selection of cocktails, or they can get some of their wines.
The happy hour is between 3 PM and 6 PM and from 10 PM to closing time on weekdays only. Each day has a different featured item, so you can enjoy a good night and watch a game and even get a discount on your preferred drink.
