About Viral Arcade and Lounge:
Yes, Virtual reality has reached Mississauga, and it comes in the form of Viral, a virtual reality arcade and lounge. This place is located on 2555 Dixie Road and provides a different kind of experience.
The Viral is a space-themed virtual reality arcade that offers about 80 different games based on the HTC Vive platform. There is also a lounge section serving refreshments. This place has a futuristic vibe to it, and the owners playfully name it their spaceship.
Viral provides a different kind of fun, with virtual reality playing booths, amazingly accommodating staff that is always ready to prepare the novice users of virtual reality. The place welcomes walk=ins, but it is good to make a reservation beforehand, as it is very popular for organized events like birthday parties, corporate events, and group gatherings.
There is a parking near the place for both cars and bikes, there is no alcohol served here, as most of the customers are minors. There is a place for the grownups that don’t want to engage in the virtual reality fun to wait, with free WIFI and TV. Viral is opened on Friday from 3 PM to 11:30 PM, on Saturday from 12 PM to 9 PM and on Sunday from 11 AM to 8:30 PM.
The Viral Arcade has amazing ratings on almost all online reviews sites like Trip Advisor, Yelp, Facebook and Google Reviews. Below I share my findings of their pros and cons.
- Different kind of fun experience
- Accommodating staff
- Reasonable pricing
- Excellent for kids/teenager birthday parties
- Safe playing
- A remark about the condition of the waiting lounge
The Viral Arcade and Lounge has been in business since October 1, 2016. It was the joint effort of four friends that fell in love with the virtual reality (VR) gaming and decided to bring this technology closer to the masses by opening an arcade. Their mission was successful, and today this place is one of the most favourite places in Mississauga for teenagers to hang out with their friends.
The interior is simple, with 10 playing booths that are designed to provide a unique gaming experience. The décor is simple, as the fun stuff is happening in the VR world. The equipment is excellent, and there is a multiplayer option with 10+ people, which is favoured by the larger groups.
The lounge is a simple room with only two sofas and a vending machine, which can use a little sprucing up. Other than this, everyone that has visited the Viral Arcade has had only good things to say and will definitely be coming back.
