About The Burnt Tongue:
A place offering soups, sandwiches, burgers, and fries, the Burnt Tongue can be found in two locations in Hamilton. The one we’ll review here is the 10 Cannon St East location in Hamilton, Ontario. Preparing fresh soups and burgers daily, this is a very popular place among the Hamilton community.
There is street side parking for cars; the place is wheelchair accessible and accepts several forms of payment including Apple Pay. There is no TV, no waiter service and no alcohol is served here. You don’t need a reservation to dine at this eatery, and you can order a takeaway meal, but they don’t do deliveries.
A very popular place for lunch and dinner for a large crowd, as many of the people working nearby opt to dine at the Burnt Tongue daily. It is opened seven days a week from 11.30 AM to 8 PM.
Many of the people that have eaten here have left their reviews online on Yelp, Trip Advisor and Google Reviews. I’ve used these to bring you a list of pros and cons of the Burnt Tongue.
- Fresh soups crafted daily
- Great burger options
- Affordable prices
- Daily specials and hand-cut fries
- Friendly, professional staff
- Very limited seating
- Notes about the price of some items
The menu also has grilled cheese and French onion sandwiches to accompany the soups, and salads like kale Caesar and kale fruit, nut and goat cheese, good burgers and hand-cut regular or loaded fries. From what I was able to learn about this place, it seems like any soup-lover in the GTA should visit the Burnt Tongue.
