- Great for brunch/lunch/dinner
- Classy, romantic atmosphere
- Accommodating staff
- Nicely presented food
- Notes on high prices
- Some notes about service
The Tremont Café has been in business since November 27, 2010. The place is situated in an old hotel restored in a beautiful rustic, romantic style. Some parts feature exposed brick walls, large windows that let in plenty of light, white and grey walls and high ceilings with vintage ceiling fans and ornate light fixtures. The tables and chairs are mainly white, with several dark wood tables. There is a large bar with plenty of seating. The kitchen is semi-open, and all interested guests can observe the kitchen action.
The second floor of the hotel features gallery rooms that feature local artists, and anyone interested in art can have a good meal or coffee in the Tremont Café below and enjoy art upstairs. When the weather allows it, there is a large patio with a lot of seating.
The menu is very appealing with lunch, and dinner menus served all week, and a brunch menu served on weekends. The lunch menu has soups, duck wings, raclette, salads, main dishes like sandwiches, seafood dishes, burgers, and curry. People can enjoy dinner and get salads, small plates of appetisers, and main dishes like scallop and pork belly, beef dishes, seafood and fish dishes, lamb shank and curry.
This place is very popular on weekends, due to their excellent brunch menu served from 11 AM to 3 PM on Saturday and Sunday, when it is smart to make a reservation. It offers soups, duck liver pate, duck charcuterie, mushroom salad, mains with several types of Benedict dishes, steak frites, sandwiches, burgers and more.
This café offers a romantic setting and is a place where one can take their partner for a romantic meal. Apart from the good food options, people can enjoy excellently prepared coffee or a cocktail.
