About Crow Bar and Variety:
Located on 18 Huron Street in Collingwood, Ontario, Crow Bar and Variety is a nice little place serving good food, good drinks and is hosting live music. This place serves lunch and dinner from their ever-evolving menu prepared from seasonal fresh local ingredients.
There is street side parking and free off-street parking. It takes reservations, which can be done via their website. There is a full bar serving alcohol, with a happy hour from 3 to 6 PM. The place is relatively intimate, and while it is suitable for large groups of adults, it is not child-friendly.
The Crow Bar and Variety serve late lunch, dinner, and drinks, and is opened from Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3 PM to late (depending on the guests, but usually closes between 10 PM and midnight). On Friday and Saturday, it is opened for lunch, from 11.30 AM, closing time is 1 AM, and the place is closed on Sunday and Monday.

The Crow Bar and Variety was opened in July 2017. The place is wedged between a lawyer’s office and the Shipyards Medical Centre and is right across the street from the Bank of Montreal. The place is relatively large and nicely decorated. There are exposed brick walls, black wooden walls, interesting ceiling design, and plenty of accent lights on the walls.
The side walls have seating booths with tables and chairs on the sides, while the middle of the room is taken by a very large high table with plenty of chairs, where patrons can sit and mingle. The bar is large, with a lot of bar chairs in front of it and shelves of alcohol behind it. One corner of the venue is taken by the stage, which even though is small is enough to accommodate a full band.
The menu can be described as eclectic and has some very interesting options. The salads and starters go from simple house greens to arugula + apple salad and roasted Brussels sprouts. The menu offers several pizzas like cheeseburger pie, house fennel pork sausage, and Ontario white cheddar pizza. The main dishes include house-smoked meat, boneless pork chop, smoked squash, potpie pappardelle, and crow burger.
To complement the food there are good booze options like classic cocktails, craft cocktails, and beers and ciders, as well as craft beers on tap. Crow Bar and variety organizes bi-monthly Crow Sessions, which happen on Tuesday nights and include 3-course culinary dining experience and an intimate concert by acclaimed musicians.
All in all, this is a nice place to have a good meal, a drink and some fun with friends. Apart from the Crow Sessions, there is live music on Wednesdays through Saturdays, so the patrons are always in for a good night.
