About Vesuvios Ristorante:
Among the top dining locations in Brampton according to Trip Advisor, the Vesuvio Ristorante is located on 91 George Street South, in Brampton, Ontario. As the name suggests, this is an Italian restaurant serving pasta, pizza and a variety of other Italian dishes.
There is some street-side parking in front of the restaurant, but not much. A reservation is recommended, as this is a popular dining location for many people. It is welcoming to large groups and has a meeting room and private dining available, but due to the nature of the restaurant, it is not recommended for kids. It is wheelchair accessible and has a TV, but no free Wi-Fi. There is a full bar, and the interior is classy which requires a little dressing up when visiting this place. People can also order a take-out meal and have it delivered through the DoorDash app.
The menu is interesting and full of traditional Italian recipes served in a nice, elegant atmosphere. The place is opened seven days a week, with Monday to Thursday working from 11.30 AM to 10 PM, Friday from 11.30 AM to 10.30 PM, Saturday from 4 PM to 10.30 PM and Sunday from 4 PM to 10 PM.
From the many online reviews of Vesuvio’s Ristorante that I’ve read on Yelp, Trip Advisor and Google Reviews, I bring you the following list of pros and cons.
- Excellent authentic Italian cuisine
- Pleasant interior
- Vegetarian and vegan options
- Live music on occasion
- Friendly staff
- Notes on some prices
- Notes about overcooked pasta
Vesuvio’s has been serving Italian cuisine to the people of Brampton for over 50 years. Due to some unfortunate flooding, the restaurant was closed for a complete renovation, and it is now with a completely updated interior. There is a modern wine fridge near the entrance, displaying the many wine choices patrons get.
The walls are painted soft cream, and there are plenty of shelves that display traditional Italian canned goods, decorative plates, and old wine bottles. The bar is simple and has a granite top with few seats in front. Next to it is the semi-open kitchen, and people can see the pizza oven. There are modern light fixtures all across the restaurant, and beautiful black tables and chairs. There is also a nice patio in front that is available in the summer.
The menu is traditional Italian but prepared with many fresh local ingredients. All the items are served on beautiful white porcelain plates or nice wooden boards. The menu has items like chef’s selection antipasto, baked snails, sautéed shrimp, or seafood platter. A salad menu has Caesar salad, chef’s salad, Caprese salad and more.
The pasta offer has spaghetti, fettuccine, lasagna, cannelloni, manicotti, gnocchi, linguine, and ravioli, all prepared with various fillings, toppings and sauces. The pizza offer is excellent, as is their main dishes offer which includes veal, chicken, beef and seafood, prepared the Old Italian way. To finish a meal, there are homemade tiramisu, ice cream, and speciality coffees.
