About Oscar’s Roadhouse:
Oscar’s Roadhouse is a place where people in Brampton gather to enjoy good food, drinks, live music and watch the game. This is a sports bar that also has live music, karaoke nights and a vast variety of dishes which are inspired by Canadian cuisine and lots of grill dishes and pub food. It is located on 1785 Queen Street East, near Fallingdale Park in Brampton, Ontario.
The Oscar’s Roadhouse serves brunch, lunch, dinner, desserts and after-hours drinks. This restaurant has its own private parking lot, has free WIFI, one large and 12 smaller TVs, serves drinks from a fully stocked bar, is good for group gatherings and has live music and average noise levels. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, but most nights it is smart to make a reservation.
It starts serving customers every day at 11 AM sharp and closes its doors every night at 2 AM, so it is a good place for going out and staying late with friends. The place is known for its daily specials, the Sunday Karaoke and the happy hour from Monday to Friday from 3 PM to 6 PM.
People that have visited Oscar’s have left their reviews online on sites like Yelp, Trip Advisor, Facebook, and Google Reviews. I’ve read through these to find the most commonly noted pros and cons Oscar’s Roadhouse has:
- Relaxed, pleasant atmosphere
- Great food and drinks selection
- Live music on Friday and Saturday (with dancing)
- Organised watching of sports events
- Great wings and ribs dishes
- Some people complained of slow service
- Some complaints about the cleanliness of toilets
The Oscar’s Roadhouse has been serving the people of Brampton since just after Christmas 2004. The interior is very pub-like, with a large wooden bar, exposed brick accents, wooden tables and chairs, exposed ductwork ceilings with all sorts of sports paraphernalia and various beer stickers. There are several dart boards to make things more interesting. The stage is small, but enough to allow live bands to play there every Friday and Saturday, and host the many karaoke enthusiasts on Sunday. The place has a very nicely designed and quite sizeable outside seating area which is very popular during summertime.
The menu is nicely organised, with starters like nachos, mussels, and various dips, good selection of soups and salads, fries and poutine, burgers and sandwiches, pizzas, several entrees, seafood dishes, and pasta dishes. There are the wings and ribs specials that are cooked in their signature BBQ sauce with herbs and spices.
Oscar’s is a fan favourite place for people to gather and enjoy the game, well any game and is especially popular gathering place during the playoffs, as there are organised events and giveaways. The weekly specials are another popular attraction, like the Wings specials on Monday and Tuesday, Fishbowl drinks on Wednesdays, Steak night on Thursday, Prime rib and a live band on Friday, Rib night and a live band on Saturday and Wings on special and Karaoke on Sunday.
