About Italian Garden Restaurant:

A place where people can get a quick bite to eat, the Italian Garden restaurant offers Italian sandwiches, pizzas and plenty of pasta dishes. The exact location is on 10069 Hurontario Street, in Brampton, Ontario, and this place is known for its tasty meals and friendly staff.

Its location on a corner of a strip plaza means that there is ample parking nearby for both cars and bikes. This restaurant does not take reservations, only walk-ins, but they pack a takeout meal. It is wheelchair accessible and has a TV, but not much else in amenities. The inside is simply decorated, but has plenty of seats to accommodate a larger group of people and is welcoming to families with kids.

From the reviews I read online on Yelp, Google Reviews, Facebook and Trip Advisor, I was able to create the following list of pros and cons:

Pros:

  • Hearty, homemade cooking
  • Simple interior
  • Friendly staff
  • Great veal sandwiches
  • Fresh ingredients

Cons:

  • Notes about cheesy décor
  • Notes about some of their pasta

The Italian Garden Restaurant opened in 1997, and since then it has served a vast amount of Italian sandwiches and tons of pasta for the Brampton people. This is a family-owned and a family-run place, and the owners are always happy to greet the customers. Also, a large part of their business is catering of various events, as many people have said in the reviews.

The décor of this place is very simple, yet can seem ostentatious. There are red walls with plenty of photos from Italy and Italian flags all over the place and Italian motif decorative plates. The red theme continues with the red chairs, and there are simple wooden tables. The large crystal chandeliers can be considered the ostentatious part of the décor, but they actually fit in nicely

The food can be seen on the hot plate display shelf, with pasta dishes, meats, and other specialities ready to be served. The food is served o simple white plates with little to no flair, but the portions are sizable. The menu is what attracts the patrons, as this place does not serve alcohol.

Their most prominent dish is the veal sandwich, as many patrons have noted in their reviews. The menu actually has more items that just a veal sandwich. There are items like breaded chicken, meat and vegetarian lasagna, pasta in various sauces, cod cakes, pizzas, and a large selection of toppings and add-ons like mushrooms, onions, hot peppers, olives, roasted potatoes, mixed grilled vegetables, and more. The prices are also very affordable, and considering the size of the portions, this is a great place to go for a quick lunch or get a takeaway meal and head home after work.
