About Bucatini Restaurant & Wine Bar:
Named after a staple pasta variety, the Bucatini Restaurant & Wine Bar is located on 170 Bovaird Drive West, in Brampton, Ontario. A place where you can go and enjoy a good Italian meal with your family or friends. This restaurant also offers a beautiful romantic setting for a proper date night.
There is a large parking lot nearby for cars and bikes. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has free Wi-Fi and TV. It is accommodating to groups and kids, but a reservation is recommended, which you can get via the Open Table app. Bucatini has a nice patio that is in use during the warm summer months. It also serves alcohol from its full bar and has a nicely put together wine list.
The food is prepared using fresh local ingredients along with fine imported ingredients that help bring out the flavours of every meal. It serves lunch and dinner from Monday to Friday, when it is opened from 11.30 AM to 9 PM, 10 PM on Friday, and only dinner over the weekend when it works from 5 PM to 10 PM on Saturday, and up to 9 PM on Sunday. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
From the reviews I read online on Yelp, Google Reviews, Trip Advisor, Facebook, and Restaurant Guru, I bring you a list of pros and cons.
- Fresh ingredients
- The menu is nicely constructed
- Separate vegetarian menu
- Good wine list
- Classy, pleasant ambience
- Notes on poor servers
The Bucatini Restaurant was opened a while back, and in 2015 it underwent a management change. The new owner wanted to make the place classier and improve on the menu, and he has certainly achieved this. The interior is very nicely done, with plenty of warm colours and wooden details. The entrance and hostess stand is decorated by a large glass partition, which is filled with wine corks. There are seating booths in white leather, as well as black chairs with orange seats. The tables are black and go with the exposed beam ceiling and the frames on the walls.
The patio is simple and cosy during the summer when you can have a nice al-fresco dinner with your significant other. The menu is nicely organised, with a separate vegetarian section. There are appetisers like fried calamari, arancini, grilled shrimp, bruschetta, escargot, antipasti, cheese platter and more. Caesar, Caprese, arugula, spinach and mixed greens salads are a must-have on every Italian restaurant menu.
The pasta offer is plentiful with bucatini, pappardelle, linguini, spaghetti, penne, gnocchi, lasagna and fettuccine prepared with various sauces and toppings. Their pizza offer is classic Italian. There is also an entrée offer with items like New York Strip loin steak, chicken, veal or eggplant parmigiana, veal marsala, braised lamb shank, and grilled salmon filet.
Their wine list is selected to complement the food, and it offers simple wines from Italy, Argentina, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and California. To finish up a meal, patrons can enjoy some of their desserts and speciality coffees.
