With its location on 467 Cundles Road East, the State & Main Kitchen & Bar is a place that offers fusion cuisine along with excellent drink options. The fusion cuisine is a fancy word for a mix of different cuisine styles, and the State & Main menu is a blend between American, Canadian, a little bit of Mexican and Italian influences, which make for a pleasant dining experience.
State & Main Kitchen & Bar is a franchise establishment, with restaurants on several locations across Canada and USA. The Barrie location is very nicely set up, with industrial style décor and a lot of interesting details.
It opens at 11 AM every day and closes at midnight on Sundays through Wednesdays and at 1 AM on Thursdays to Saturdays. It serves brunch, lunch, and dinner, as well as a full bar with craft beers and cocktails.

The State & Main Kitchen & Bar in Barrie has been in business since 2012. Since then, this place has become a favourite gathering spot for many people, and the fact that it is right across a cinema hall makes it more appealing as a place to go with your date and get a bite to eat before going to the movies.
There is a wooden bar that runs almost the length of the restaurant, with interesting signs and bottles displayed on open, backlit shelves. The tables also featured a pub-like design, without tablecloths and bundled close together, for a more cosy, casual atmosphere. The outside seating area features large wooden tables with wooden benches that can accommodate a large crowd.
The food is nicely prepared, and the menu is exactly what one would expect from such a place. There are tacos, salads, broths and soups, burgers, and desserts. The menu has a special gluten-sensitive section, a vegetarian section, as well as a brunch menu. There are numerous drinks options, beers, cocktails, and daily specials.
In the State & Main Kitchen & Bar, every day has a happy hour, and it is from 3 PM to 6 PM, with another from 9 PM to closing time on Sundays through Wednesdays. Next time when you are in the mood to have a good meal in a friendly atmosphere, you can certainly make a reservation here.
