A part of the Canyon Creek franchise of restaurants, the Canyon Creek at Vaughan Mills is located on 255 Bass Pro Mills Drive, in the pedestrian part of the Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre. This place serves lunch, dinner and after-hours drinks and is a great place to grab lunch with colleagues or friends or take your family to dinner.
There is a large free parking lot within the shopping centre for both cars and bikes, so your vehicle will be safe while you enjoy a steak or a drink at the Canyon Creek Restaurant. The place has free Wi-Fi, TVs, is wheelchair accessible, and has an outside patio when the weather permits it. It offers a casually elegant dining experience, and it is recommended that people be dressed in a smart casual dress style (meaning no shorts and tank tops). It takes reservations and is family-friendly, with a separate kid’s menu.
The menu is exciting, with plenty of good selections of wonderfully presented foods. The place serves alcohol from its full bar, along with a good selection of wines. It starts with business at noon every day, and closing time varies, from Sunday to Thursday it is 10 PM, and Friday and Saturday it is 11 PM.

Canyon Creek has been in business since 1997, and it has spread to seven locations in the GTA and Niagara; the Vaughan location was opened in 2008. This restaurant is nicely decorated, with plenty of wooden panels on the walls, wood shutters, and privacy partitions, as well as wooden beams on the ceilings. There are leather-upholstered seating booths for two and four people, wooden tables and wood and leather chairs.
The menu is varied and looks very appealing. There is seasonal soups, salads, shareable like nachos, fried calamari, steak truffle bites and prime rib sliders. Green salads, handhelds like burgers and sandwiches, favourites like goat cheese chicken penne, garlic shrimp ravioli, pan-roasted salmon and BBQ baby back ribs.
The main dishes include steak fries, chipotle sirloin, mushroom New York, peppercorn New York, and Filet & Lobster, which are served with selected sides. There is the option to choose your steak and side dish and get a top sirloin, New York strip loin, bacon-wrapped filet mignon or rib-eye steak. This restaurant has a signature aged prime rib which comes in 10 or 14-ounce cuts.
There is also a dessert menu, and gluten-free and a prix fixe menu. The drinks list is quite good, with white and red wines, classic and signature cocktails, bottled and draught beers and non-alcoholic options.
