Gusto Pizzaria

135 Main St N, Brampton
About Gusto Pizzaria:

Advertised as the best-tasting pizza in Brampton, the Gusto Pizzaria is located on 135 Main Street North, in Brampton, Ontario. It is run by an Italian lady that knows her business, and she creates some amazing tasting pizzas.

There is a large parking lot near the restaurant, and this place is wheelchair accessible. There is no Wi-Fi, but it has a TV. You don’t need a reservation to dine here, but you can call ahead and have your pizza ready to go when you get there. They also do deliveries, and they have a set radius of free deliveries, so you will have to pay for the delivery if you live farther away. There are some seating benches outside on the sidewalk where people can enjoy their pizza.

The pizza dough is prepared in-house, as is their tomato sauce, which also comes in a gluten-free version. The pizzeria works seven days a week, opening at 11 AM; the closing time varies from 10 PM on Monday to Thursday, 11 PM on Friday and Saturday and 8 PM on Sunday.

People that have dined here have left their reviews on Yelp, Google Reviews, Trip Advisor and Facebook. From there, I’ve created the following list of pros and cons of Gusto Pizzaria Inc.

  • House-made tomato sauce
  • Tasty pizza crust
  • Various toppings options
  • Very affordable prices
  • Italian sandwiches

  • Notes about slow delivery
  • Notes about overly greasy pizza

The Gusto Pizzaria does not have anything to show for in terms of flashy, fancy décor. Instead, the whole place is tiled with tiles in different colors: the counter is tiled with black tile, while the walls have a green, red and white theme, to resemble the Italian flag. There is some seating available inside, and standing tables where people can eat their pizza or sandwich on the go. Also, there are two large tables with benches outside.

The menu is simple but prepared with fresh local vegetables. The tomato sauce is also made fresh and in-house, and patrons that have dined here have repeatedly noticed and commended this fact. The pizza offer comes in a personal, medium, large, X-large and Party size, made from fresh dough with cheese and tomato sauce. There is a large list of toppings like pepperoni, beef salami, mushroom, bacon, ham, onion, olives, anchovies, ground beef, Italian sausage, peppers, and garlic. There are also gourmet toppings like prosciutto, salami, pesto, olive oil, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted zucchini, eggplant, pepper, artichoke hearts, and feta or goat cheese. There are several dipping sauces like creamy garlic, ranch, marinara, jalapeno cheddar, and hot & spicy sauce. There are also panzerotti and calzone offers with the same toppings.

The menu includes Italian sandwiches made with veal or chicken, meatballs, steak, and sausage. People can also order a pasta dish: spaghetti, penne, fettuccine, and lasagna or cannelloni, which some with garlic bread with tomato sauce, meat sauce, Alfredo sauce or rose sauce. From my research, the Gusto Pizzaria is a definite must-try for everyone that is in Brampton.
