Fanzorelli’s Restaurant & Wine Bar

50 Queen St W, Brampton
About Fanzorelli’s Restaurant & Wine Bar:

The No.1 restaurant in Brampton according to Trip Advisor, Fanzorelli’s is a place where people can get impeccable service, excellently prepared Italian dishes like pasta and stone oven-baked pizzas and taste a great variety of wines from all over the world. Its location is at 50 Queen Street West, in Brampton, Ontario.

There are a nearby garage and some street-side parking for cars only, which allow free parking after 6 PM on weekdays and all day on weekends. The place is wheelchair accessible and it surely takes a reservation. It is large enough to accommodate a big group of people or a family with children. There are TVs inside, as well as free Wi-Fi, and alcohol is served from its full bar. The best nights are Friday and Saturday, so if you plan to dine here, it is advisable to make a timely reservation.

The menu is predominantly Italian, with plenty of pasta dishes and a variety of pizzas. The place is opened seven days a week, during the weekdays it serves both lunch and dinner from11.30 AM to 9 PM, and over the weekend it only serves dinner only starting from 5 PM to 9 PM (Saturday to 10 PM). If you're visiting The Rose theatre, it is only a few minutes walk from Fanzorelli’s, as is the Brampton GO station.

From the reviews online on Yelp, Trip Advisor, Google Reviews and Facebook, I was able to compile a list of the pros and cons of this place.

  • Excellently executed Italian dishes
  • Pleasant décor
  • Good drinks menu and large international wine list
  • Stone oven-baked pizzas
  • Professional service

  • Some people found some dishes undercooked
  • Notes of poorly seasoned dishes

Fanzorelli’s Restaurant and Wine Bar has first been opened in 1989 in Brampton, and even though it has undergone a change in ownership, this place has retained its charm and professional attitude, and of course, the tasty Italian dishes. The interior is divided into two sections, a more formal dining section and more of a lounge area. There are Italian-inspired decorations, partially exposed brick walls, wrought iron details and plenty of framed posters and vintage photos and illustrations.

The tables and chairs are wooden, whit white cloth napkins and white plates. The restaurant can be booked for a private event, and in that case, white tablecloths adorn the tables. The food is served on white porcelain plates or nice wooden boards, and all the drinks are served in appropriate glassware.

The menu is divided into a lunch, dinner, dessert, beverage and Rose Theatre menu. The lunch menu has items like appetizers, sandwiches, salads, pasta, pizza, and entrees. The dinner menu is much like the lunch menu, except with some more fancy dishes added. There are appetizers, salads, pasta, pizzas, and entrees, and a separate children’s menu.

The dessert menu has homemade tiramisu, crème Brulee, and cheesecake, and a variety of ice creams. The Rose Theatre menu is a pre-set menu with discount price available to people that are planning to have dinner at Fanzorelli’s and then see an event at the Rose Theatre. The wine list has Italian, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, Chile, and California wines.
